HK$136.32 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$15.63 billion, or 11.47% of the
market's turnover. There were 665 short-selling stocks. BABA-W (09988) and TRACKER FUND
(02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1 billion and HK$746.68
million, or 6.41% and 4.78% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 14.85% and 19.14% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and MEITUAN-W (03690) registered HK$741.95 million and HK$572.71
million of short sales, accounting for 4.75% and 3.66% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 17.41% and 15.72% of respective stock's
turnover.
BABA-W closed up HK$1.3, or 1.36%, to HK$96.65. TRACKER FUND ended down HK$0.02, or
0.09%, to HK$21.32. XIAOMI-W fell HK$0.45, or 1.73% to HK$25.5. MEITUAN-W jumped HK$0.3,
or 0.16%, to HK$185.2.
