billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$52.5 billion, or 21.29% of the market's
turnover. There were 832 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$9.87 billion and HK$4.93
billion, or 18.8% and 9.38% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 48.69% and 47.54% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and TENCENT (00700) registered HK$3.66 billion and HK$1.78 billion of
short sales, accounting for 6.97% and 3.38% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 43.34% and 18.76% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed down HK$0.32, or 1.23%, to HK$25.72. CSOP HS TECH ended down
HK$0.054, or 1.1%, to HK$4.87. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.46, or 0.52% to HK$88.7. TENCENT jumped
HK$1, or 0.18%, to HK$547.5.
