[ET Net News Agency, 20 February 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$91.76 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$20.08 billion, or 21.88% of the
market's turnover. There were 797 short-selling stocks. CSOP HS TECH (03033) and TRACKER
FUND (02800) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.09 billion and HK$2.41
billion, or 15.4% and 11.98% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 65.63% and 48.65% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.49 billion and HK$1.22 billion of
short sales, accounting for 7.43% and 6.1% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 38.61% and 22.55% of respective stock's turnover.
CSOP HS TECH closed down HK$0.125, or 2.38%, to HK$5.135. TRACKER FUND ended down
HK$0.22, or 0.82%, to HK$26.76. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.86, or 0.92% to HK$92.32. BABA-W
declined by HK$5.8, or 3.75%, to HK$148.9.
