[ET Net News Agency, 29 January 2026] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$331.99 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$39.92 billion, or 12.02% of the
market's turnover. There were 820 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and PING AN
(02318) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.09 billion and HK$1.88
billion, or 7.74% and 4.71% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 19.28% and 30.44% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XIAOMI-W (01810) registered HK$1.25 billion and HK$1.09 billion of
short sales, accounting for 3.13% and 2.72% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 9.92% and 16.25% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.14, or 0.5%, to HK$28.18. PING AN ended up HK$2.35, or
3.31%, to HK$73.3. HSCEI ETF fell HK$0.32, or 0.33% to HK$97.06. XIAOMI-W jumped HK$0.3,
or 0.83%, to HK$36.62.
