[ET Net News Agency, 21 January 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$127.65 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.4 billion, or 14.42% of the
market's turnover. There were 758 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and HSCEI ETF
(02828) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$4.74 billion and HK$1.32
billion, or 25.74% and 7.16% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 53.72% and 27.59% of respective stock's turnover.
XIAOMI-W (01810) and ANTA SPORTS (02020) registered HK$631.04 million and HK$532.3
million of short sales, accounting for 3.43% and 2.89% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 12.38% and 31.6% of respective stock's
turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed flat, to HK$26.68. HSCEI ETF ended down HK$0.22, or 0.24%, to
HK$92.98. XIAOMI-W fell HK$0.82, or 2.31% to HK$34.66. ANTA SPORTS declined by HK$4.75, or
5.75%, to HK$77.8.
