HK$84.88 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.15 billion, or 19.03% of the
market's turnover. There were 758 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS
TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$3.35 billion and HK$1.61
billion, or 20.76% and 9.96% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 41.67% and 39.33% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and BABA-W (09988) registered HK$1.12 billion and HK$639.86 million of
short sales, accounting for 6.91% and 3.96% of the total short sales values respectively.
The transactions represented 44.11% and 15.65% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND closed up HK$0.06, or 0.24%, to HK$25.5. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.005, or
0.09%, to HK$5.295. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.3, or 0.33% to HK$90.02. BABA-W jumped HK$0.8, or
0.55%, to HK$145.
