HK$141.48 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$16.07 billion, or 11.36% of the
market's turnover. There were 668 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and CCB (00939)
saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.42 billion and HK$771.1 million, or
8.85% and 4.8% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented
26.44% and 21.9% of respective stock's turnover.
HSCEI ETF (02828) and XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) registered HK$739.15 million and HK$619.21
million of short sales, accounting for 4.6% and 3.85% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 18.65% and 51.3% of respective stock's
turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed up HK$0.6, or 2.25%, to HK$27.3. CCB ended up HK$0.13, or 2.16%, to
HK$6.16. HSCEI ETF rose HK$0.7, or 0.94% to HK$74.9. XL2CSOPHSTECH declined by HK$0.06, or
1.36%, to HK$4.36.
