[ET Net News Agency, 31 October 2024] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$83.31 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$7.26 billion, or 8.71% of the
market's turnover. There were 637 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and BYD COMPANY
(01211) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$376.08 million and HK$333.8
million, or 5.18% and 4.6% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 12.13% and 18.32% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XL2CSOPHSTECH (07226) registered HK$319.51 million and
HK$211.79 million of short sales, accounting for 4.4% and 2.92% of the total short sales
values respectively. The transactions represented 4.79% and 30.42% of respective stock's
turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed up HK$0.95, or 3.65%, to HK$26.95. BYD COMPANY ended down HK$9.6, or
3.25%, to HK$285.4. TRACKER FUND rose HK$0.14, or 0.68% to HK$20.6. XL2CSOPHSTECH jumped
HK$0.084, or 1.9%, to HK$4.504.
