[ET Net News Agency, 8 June 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$196.22 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$37.93 billion, or 19.33% of the market's turnover. There were 841 short-selling stocks. XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$5.41 billion and HK$4.34 billion, or 14.26% and 11.44% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 53.71% and 46.15% of respective stock's turnover.
TRACKER FUND (02800) and XL2CSOPSMSN (07747) registered HK$3.84 billion and HK$2.6 billion of short sales, accounting for 10.13% and 6.84% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 29.85% and 57.03% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHYNIX closed down HK$6.1, or 5.71%, to HK$100.8. CSOP HS TECH ended down HK$0.116, or 2.42%, to HK$4.67. TRACKER FUND fell HK$0.28, or 1.11% to HK$25. XL2CSOPSMSN declined by HK$24.15, or 12.99%, to HK$161.75.
