[ET Net News Agency, 18 May 2026] Half-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was HK$161.26 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$28.24 billion, or 17.51% of the market's turnover. There were 819 short-selling stocks. TRACKER FUND (02800) and CSOP HS TECH (03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$2.51 billion and HK$2.05 billion, or 8.89% and 7.27% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions represented 25.04% and 53.06% of respective stock's turnover.
XL2CSOPHYNIX (07709) and LI AUTO-W (02015) registered HK$1.37 billion and HK$1.23 billion of short sales, accounting for 4.86% and 4.37% of the total short sales values respectively. The transactions represented 32.99% and 46.84% of respective stock's turnover.
